“In the middle of a difficulty lies opportunity.” – Albert Einstein
It has been proven again and again that success is likely to happen in difficult times. Many successful businesses were started in recession – Burger King, FedEx, MTV, CNN, HP and other big businesses.
Albert Einstein says that in the middle of a difficulty lies opportunity – this is actual in our situation right now. Bad economic situation worldwide has pushed business owners to the limit. Small businesses are probably those that are hit the hardest.
We can’t give in and give up
Small business owners can’t simply give in and give up facing the situation. We can’t afford to do that – life is too precious to be wasted.
One of my relatives said that it’s darn difficult to build something out of a broken economy. He lives in an EU country, and the country is badly hit by the recession. Well, he is probably right, but giving up is the least thing we can do – there’s so much the world can offer you.
You reap what you sow – if you are resilient and positive, there are small business ideas you can turn into a successful business. Every business that can solve problems presented by the recession has a good chance to succeed.
Some examples may include:
- Financial services: Debt consolidation services, credit counseling, business funding, etc. – when someone is in financial troubles, those services can help him/her to rebuild financial foundation.
- Green energy generators: Setting up green energy generator for clients or sell DIY energy generator equipments.
- Business efficiency services: You can help businesses to cut their overheads, such as excessive energy consumption, poor work-flow, etc.
- …and so on.
How to get yourself ready to grab the opportunities
The first and foremost thing to do is to motivate yourself – this is the hardest part, but once you can rise above all of your problems, you can see things clearly.
You also need to find mentors who can guide you to have better understanding on ‘how to play the game.’ Mentors can also help you to have the right mindset, especially in seeing the difficulties as glass half full, not half empty.
Business opportunities are widely available, up for grab – get yours while they are hot :)
