However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” – the things God has prepared for those who love him – 1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV
The Bible has always been my source for personal and business knowledge. I lack many things – thank God I’ve got “the manual.”
Now, today’s blog post is all about business ideas. We won’t talk about which business ideas of 2011 and such in this post; what I want to talk about is how to get new business ideas.
To kick off, here’s an interesting infographic from Dane Carlson’s Business Opportunities Weblog, Business-Opportunities.biz… the question: “What are you doing when new ideas happen?”
Here are the interesting results presented in the form of infographic (Thanks for the tip, Dane!)…
I personally agree with the majority; I’ve got business ideas that some of them are becoming realities when I was showering. Business ideas are also occasionally struck me when I was reading and sleeping.
Sleeping? Yes – I’ve got a business started up a couple of years ago originating from my dream while I was sleeping. In my dream, I’ve got this snapshot of a place I’ve never been, with a particular town name I’ve never visited. I then decided to visit the town and there you go – the location is exactly the same as the snapshot in my dream!
Noobpreneur.com is one of the business ideas turned into a reality while I read blog posts and browse the web about three years ago. Some ideas come in prayers. Some of them while I was commuting.
To me, business ideas popping in your head is not a coincidence. Many consider your eureka moment as luck, but I’d say it is a blessing. When I didn’t think about anything and suddenly I’ve got this next-big-thing idea, I always understand it this way: I’ve got this idea; now what am I suppose to do with it?
Please bear in mind – not all business ideas will end as successful businesses; some were there for you to try and fail fast. Some were there for you to take on and be successful.
So, to conclude – are you looking for business ideas? Here’s how: Shower often, read often, sleep well – and pray :)
How about you? What are you doing when new business ideas struck you? Please share by commenting on this article.
