Hoverboards are banned in NYC. But that doesn’t stop the hype of it approaching the Black Friday 2015.
Black Friday marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the United States. Shopping spree will happen, and popular gift items like the hoverboards will be snatched from stores like crazy – even though it costs you 300-500 US dollars to buy. Here’s an example: Kohl’s will sell their hoverboard, the Sharper Image board, at $369.99 – a $130 off.
But how much are consumers spending, exactly, during the Black Friday weekend? Well, there’s an app for that :) Couponbox launches a nifty app that shows you Black Friday spending in the US – in real time:
To compare, during the 2014 Black Friday weekend, the total sales is $50.9 billion, with a shopper spent an average of $380.95. The figures were declining for three consecutive years since 2012 – $59.1 billion of sales and $423.66 average spending in 2012, and $57.4 billion of sales and $407.02 average spending in 2013 (source).
Okay – enough about hoverboards. Now let’s get into the business world.
